I've had plenty of fingers in plenty of pies some to this day and others are in the past now
The list includes the following

Selling soda/candy bars
Scrap metal
Washing cars
Mowing lawns
Dabbling with almost anything legal at some point or another in some capacity

nope, I've always had a job that required actual work, most because these type of employment opportunities were not around.
I could easily pick up work anywhere.
