Unless you make a glaze or syrup with the booze, cooking with alcohol doesn’t result in intoxication. The alcohol cooks off.
There’s a local restaurant here that makes bread pudding and they serve it with a sweet bourbon sauce. It’s frigging delicious! But it would take ten times the typical serving of syrup to get me buzzed. It might be fun to see how it would affect a child. Ell oh ell!

I disagree. In my entire lifetime, i’ve only had two booze-flavored things that i enjoyed despite not getting buzzed. The aforementioned bread pudding sauce, and Dwayne Johnson’s own tequila butter syrup recipe that he puts on his crazy french toast rolls that he makes on “cheat day”.
Otherwise, it’s all about the buzz for me!
