I live in New York and the education is very poor. Columbia is losing its reputation as a good Ivy League school that’s likely to be replaced by NYU though. The public education system is atrocious though and a lot of people graduate high school without knowing how to read and write and they have absolutely no understanding of American history.

I am shocked by this post. I thought American can at least read their mother tongue.
It depends on the state New York, Mississippi, West Virginia, do not have good education. New Jersey does have better education though but the best states for it are Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, and Virginia, in my experience.
Good to know. In my country we study everything in 3 languages where we speak 2 other mother or national languages. 80% of students here masters 5 languages in total.
No not at all, it's broken
What state fam?
Let me guess California, New York, the Midwest, or the South. It’s actually quite good in New England like just as good as the UK.
Florida but the schools in the US is general have a broken system
In most of the US yes but not the whole country. Massachusetts has some of the best education in the world like it ranks as high as Japan, and UK, almost.
The south has god awful education.
I guess it depends on who is judging
Public education in the south by Western European, and Eastern Asian, standards is pretty poor.
I agree
