Astronomy without a doubt! Everything else is potentially humanly possible with the right funding and the right knowledge. The study of something that may never be reached for thousands of years is quite simply to quote Spock (Mr, not Dr) 'fascinating'

Archaeology for sure. I'm not the most knowledgeable history buff but it's one of my favorite subjects to learn about. Learning about it in such a hands-on fashion seems so incredibly interesting as well as traveling to these excavation sites.

Since I like gazing up to the sky and like looking through telescopes since I was a kid, the choice is obviously  astronomy .

Can't decide between Archaeology and Astronomy. I almost thought one was Geology (which is also cool, study of rocks).

Archeologist, they get to do normal site digs, also if there is building work planned then local archaeologist is contacted and sample digs carried out, this often unearths, Celtic, Roman, Saxon, and later finds. They also assist the police as forensic archaeologists with bodies that have been buried etc. they also help the UN with mass grave investigations etc.

Astronomy = getting paid to look at the sky through overpriced equipment, and daydream
Palaeontology = taxpayer funded taxidermy
Volcanologist = taxpayer funded extreme sports

I was actually really into archeology as a kid I mean it was the 90s who wasn't with Jurassic park but I had seriously considered it a possible career path at one point. I even dug up a few fossils as a kid including a fossilized human tooth.
