What is a “big personaility”?

Had an interview today and he said a few good things, one being I came across as a genuine person. However, he said more than once that I have a “big personality”. The more I think about it the more confused I feel. He just stated it like it was a fact and I don’t know if he was saying it positively or negatively. Overbearing? Hard to handle? Or charismatic and energetic?

I'd mean they where loud and not self conscious. It wouldn't be a criticism though, it would be an observation of someone who was very "in your face".

We have a guy at work Shaun who I'd describe as a large / big personality. He's well liked and jokes a lot. He's easy to talk to and does a lot of the speaking in any conversation.

Some people like big personalities, and some don't, so his tone of voice and facial expression should tell you if he thinks that's a positive or negative
