I've recently became a union rep at my work and most people have been really supportive and kind to me about the whole thing but I'm aware a couple of people as usual have something not nice to say anything it I've heard it all before that I'm stupid or not good enough and I pretend not to care but it does really get to me.
I've not even had my training yet and I've had people say they are leaving the union if I'm a rep even though I've I'm always kind to people and have already helped a lot of people at work with bullying and mental health without being a rep but I just don't bragged about it.
I'm aware most of these people never have anything kind to say about anyone or anything and are all talk they are just jealous and don't like seeing people succeed so shit on them to make themselves feel better. I have my ex best friend who hates me because she threatened to kill herself and I went to report it to the mangers to get her some mental health help but to her I'm a terrible friend for trying to do something about it instead of telling her what she wanted to hear and as soon as she saw my name on the union board she threw a fit. She's labelled me a gossip and told people I tell people everything but without any context of what happened and knowing I'm not allowed to tell my side of the story out of professionalism.
I know if something goes wrong or people don't get there way I'll be to blame and I may have to deal with people being confrontational
