How would you feel if you got a full-time job as a librarian, permanent job?

My son got this job as full time librarian.
And it's permanent

I'm pretty sure you have to have a collage degree to be an actual librarian.
But if you're just working there putting books away and checking people out at the counter it would be a good job for some one that is kinda shy and likes to keep to themselves.

I'm a librarian though I wouldn't recommend it. It's too boring. It's no excitement. All I want to do is be a writer not a librarian but it pays the bills.

Wow. Well I'm sorry that you have the scars behind your "exciting" jobs but my job is okay. Like I said before it pays the bills but it's not what I would really love to be doing. I feel you have to be passionate about your job and I'm just not. I doubt I would have scars doing what I would really love to be doing which is writing for a living.

It's pretty rare to get a full time job as a librarian. The majority of librarians tend to stay on their entire life and are as old as some of the books in the library.

I think it would be a very good opportunity, for anyone at any age. Very intellectual, detailed when identifying different books, periodicals, etc. The person would definitely develop an interest in reading.
