If they insulted or rejected you for her, then reject that offer as well because it's related to your self respect. They can't treat you like they can reject you when they have a better candidate and they can expect you to come back when that better candidate rejected their offer. You should reject it as well

If you're in financial need, you can choose to accept the offer but if you have other better opportunities in hand, choose where you're valued and where you're offered according to your financial needs
