vermont is so small it isn't even in the top 50 states?
Vermont is not the smallest state there is 1 state smaller than vermont in population. It is also ranked 45th for size. Vermont is an anomaly in the US as despite being a blue state it it ranks in between 3 and 6 for crime stats. Why? Because Vermont is as close to an Athenian government as it is possible to achieve. If Vermont were to be completely cut off from government support it can entirely provide for itself. Power, food, resources, water, etc. In addition it's people display the purest form of communism which is centered around community. Vermonters help each other. Your neighbors trust that you look out for them and you trust that they look out for you. If they ask for help you help if you ask for help they help. Among other things that is what Vermont is all about. When I left Vermont was the safest state when I returned briefly it was not the safest state anymore. Times change but the people haven't. The issue is too many shit people were flooding into the state. I hope it stopped but I won't hold my breath.
