He is attracted to you, so was angry when you didn't say hello when you were near his presence. Now he is trying to punish you and due to his attraction, it is easier for him to completely push you away, than still have contact. This is because he feels you don't give him enough attention. The level of attention you do, or do not give impacts his moods so he wants to prevent this for consistency.

People get mad for the oddest reasons. Back in the day our office got burned out and the training department kindly offered us a room to work in, which he had to go through the main training office to get to. So we'd go in and not say anything because we didn't want to disturb them. They got mad because we never spoke to them.
