It depends… there currently are religious (parochial, etc.) schools and public schools. Both types of schools need extreme reform, but religious education isn’t the only topic to be concerned with at the elementary and secondary levels…. Even the teaching of the basic code needs to be improved.

Yes, but not to convert kids. It should be taught as a mythology, the same way the Greek pantheon is taught in schools in English class, putting works into the context of the stories and history of the society at the time to explain certain aspects of what was believed at the time it was occurring.

That there are different religions in the world, as part of World History, should be taught in schools, including how various religions have had an impact on history... example: The Crusades, Taoism in China, Buddhism and Hinduism in Southeast Asia.

A specific religion, and trying to get students to believe in a certain religion, should not be taught in schools.

World religion should be thought in school and how its influenced society throughout history. That should be the end of it, and it should be thought by a religion teacher. No preachers, priests, scholars and no residing prayers and reading through holy books in the classroom.

If you meant just RE which one learns about all cultures, religions and moral debates of course, that was my favorite subject and easiest one to pass.
