What are the coveted roles at your employer? What are the jobs and positions that everyone else wants, but needs to have more seniority, skills, or just need someone to leave?

Do you have or have you ever had one of those jobs?

I worked in engineering for many years. Most engineers don't have any desire to do anything else. Very few move on to non-engineering positions, unless they start their own business.

My job is one of them. I am a systems architect. Specifically HP Certified systems architect. In addition to that i am the company's CCIE and CCISP. So i am the reason we maintain our HP Enterprise and HP INC partnerships.

There's some, but fortunately my network and experience set me up to snag it.

It takes hard work to keep it and do well, but it is enjoyable work.

Teacher. NO ONE BUT MASOCHISTS wants to be an administrator and deal with that shit! The secretary, custodians, counselors, security are all cool but teacher is the primo position. God I miss it!
