What subjects should be eliminated? Calculus, Latin, Chemistry? What subject do you think doesn't have any relevance to today's world?

What subjects should be eliminated? Calculus, Latin, Chemistry? What subject do you think doesn't have any relevance to today's world?

cooking from scratch growing your own food to a degree, how to manage finances, how to deal with companies that you have a dispute with, teach them their rights and where to get help to understand them, pretty much everything theyve taken away on person, the rothchilds set up the education system, and the simple statement of it all was to raise workers, program their minds and behaviour, even the time schedule is a part of it, preparing you for work, they did an experiment about high intelligence, all four year olds tested genius level, age 7 almost all genius then high school by the end of secondary high school all the genius of those souls brains and potential were programmed to comply... school as we know it should be abolished overnight... from two to seven years old is the time where a human child brain is evolving from the pituatory gland.. toothpaste at two years old starts to contain fluoride, then its in our water for life... this calcifies this gland and blocks it... so by 4 years old in uk its had two years of chemical covering and then you hand your child over for the 80 percent time of their life to the utter bullshit... my children were raised aware of the system, my son did the absolute minimum to get through, yet i received a phone call one day, he had hacked a pc during his class and completely wiped the system, leading to a decent repair, he told me he was called in to the office where the teacher said we need to discuss this, he replied, do i need a lawyer? when he told me i was proud and internally laughed. i asked him why, he was bored during the lesson, nothing he didn't already know, this kid built his own gaming pc saving a thousand pounds off retail and just tested his knowledge, i asked him, was there a point where you could of chosen like yes delete no delete, he claimed he didn't really believe it would happen... the school changed all pcs after him... a claim to his fame.. im a proud mumma tbh... my girl did half days for 2 years because it was so unbearable for her, she wore trousers with her blazer and carried a rucksack... no make up... in a town of townie chavs, girls with skirts that literally just cover your butt cheeks... anyways this all does relate to what they should be taught, human fucking decency and behaviour.. I've also always believed intimacy should be taught about relationships, mind connection, body touch, massage etc now its just arse fucking, which i literally cannot believe in my day, it was only about men and having sex in the anal area was considered disgusting its a waste area, and i would teach girls to stop doing it... the lessons are entirely driven to mould the mind.. it is a conspiracy
Cooking mandatory, stress management eliminated. No one I knew took those lectures serious back in highschool. Same with the information about time management or how to study properly. I find that people intuitively learn how to manage stress, we don't need to be taught
A lot of these do not need an entire course dedicated to them, because the important stuff could be learned in a week or two, and going beyond that quickly turns into something else altogether, such as car maintenance. Public speaking was a mandatory freshman course in my high school.
Finances, taxation, and insurance can be taught in the same class. In fact I took an elective in high school that covered this except swap out insurance for loans and interest rates.
Latin was never a requirement in high school, though it was one of a few options to fulfill a foreign language course requirement. I would not ditch that. The senior level math courses should definitely be thrown out in favor of one that focuses on practical financial skills.
All the sciences are very useful. Latin has some uses as well, but it's typically not mandatory unless you go to private school. Economics and Government was mandatory when I went to school and that covered personal finance, taxes, and even some basic entrepreneurship skills along with how the government works, constitutional law, and registering to vote, etc. There were software development, electronics, auto shop, wood shop, metal shop, drafting, and even home economics electives and there were wrestling and boxing sports teams. All that stuff is typically offered in school, it all comes down to if students pick those electives over something like physical education, art, music, ROTC, etc.

I think social etiquette and interpersonal communication should be included in the high school curriculum. Maybe not a separate class, but at least included in something else.
If i had to choose from one on your list there, i would choose finance, because everyone has to use cash and people are so useless at budgeting and saving these days. Then they blame the government when they have no money.
I would eliminate Latin or any foreign language which is not really needed.
Well, maybe Spanish is a good one to learn.
I would not know, French is the second language after English
Calc isn't mandatory. Two years of (some kind of a ) math is. Home Economics- cooking, electrical, sewing, woodworking were and should remain. Functional math- balancing checkbooks, doubling recipes, figuring 10: 1 dilution ratios for weed killer, etc. should be added. Social studies from "new and improved" woke books needs to go.
None should be eliminated though none should be mandatory except Math, English, Science, History, Health, Gym, And World Studies. I’ve learned a lot in all my subjects also the diversity of subjects made me find out what I loved / what I hated though it also allowed me to bond with friends since it was a mix of different students in different classes. I don't know just my opinion.
I mean…I will demur to experts in child psych, teaching, etc. The issue is standardized teaching vs more customized. I get arguments on both sides.
I do have an issue with kids graduating and knowing a hypotenuse but not knowing a fcking thing about the stock market. Also cooking and nutrition should be a priority as well.
Script writing needs to be taught in schools again. Kids are growing up without knowing how to sign their own names. I like the idea of most of those subjects you've posted being added. Anything that's "woke" needs to be eliminated. Coddling and participation trophies need to be shitcanned as well.
I think all these things should be offered as electives but none outside of school requirements for graduation should be required
If I can only choose one, I think a technical class should be required (basic home repairs or car maintenance might be an example). But coding and personal finance would be other choices.
They should explain things like cooking, cleaning clothes, washing dishes, dealing with estate agents and bankers, how to pay council tax, how not to get your dog shot on a whim by the police, etc.
personal finance should be taught.
Algebra should only be for those who plan on going into a field where that skill will be needed
@daniela1982
Mandatory... Human Biology and Sexual Education.
Remove... Religious Studies/Education.
This is a hard question to answer. Since you never know where your life will take you. What seems like a waste today. Might be nice to have been introduced to in your school years.
Latin obviously. Its past its usefulness. Your pic however is right on coming from this HS teacher.
All of those should replace the college prep courses
Logic. Too many people of all ages don't seem capable of critical thinking.
Latin should be an elective, nutritional budgeting should be added and mandatory
Delete Latin
Add survival skills
I've done well without Latin
Chemistry unless you're going to be a chemist.
Iife skills should be mandatory
English and Phys Ed
You definitely need English. These kids today can't form a proper sentence to save their lives.
@Simslover92 I sometimes assign a term paper in some of my classes/ . These kids are all high school graduates and are in college. I am appalled at how kids cannot write. at better than a 5th grade level.
Yeah I subbed for a while and it was sad the level of reading and writing the kids were on.
@Simslover92 I did not mark down for bad spelling or lack of sentence structure. I blame it on a failing public school system/.
Yes definitely. They are letting kids graduate without knowing the difference between a simple, complex, and a compound sentence. It's sad.
Cooking 🍳 and social etiquette
Financial education. And investing.
