I work as an administrative assistant in hospital. We used to have 12 hours work hours from 6pm-6am/6am-6pm now our superior texted us there are changes that our work hours wil be 13 hours from now like we start at 6 and ends at 7 like the extra one hour is our lunch break we will use biometric after 6-12 working hours. 12-1 is the lunch break and 1-7 is working hours again. But the salary still didn't change. I think Im sad because thats how new Government rules in our country but it feels like its tiring to add another 1 hour

That absolutely sucks. Do you have a union that can fight back? Usually medical staff gets an exemption from labor laws. We had an exemption in law enforcement and it was nice. It sucked not getting breaks for 12 hours, but working less hours was worth it in my opinion. I would have hated 13s.
I hate it tbh. We dont have union in our country here. Its just in a day there is only 24 hours we used to have 12 hours duty and we have shifting every 12 hours why is it necessary to even add another one hour when it used to be okay back then?
Probably some law came out that demanded people get breaks from work, but forgot to give exemptions to certain industries like medical. Maybe they'll make an amendment one day...
I used to work 16 hour shifts in a unheated or cooled warehouse so working less time in a climate controlled area would be easy
Not unpaid
Hell yes thats stupid. I hate the new work hours.
