As if 14 hours/day were not grueling enough? I did that for several month in the project business. It thoroughly screws up pretty much every aspect of your life. And I also have to question the efficiency of such long hours.
Our shifts are 24 hours and the most we can do are 48s.
That's not saying you can't fill in somewhere else after and go longer.
If you are busy the time goes by quickly, if you are too busy that sucks, then you are crapped out at the end, and if you are slow then you can catch up on your safety baps.
A few times. Not that I liked it... LOL... I think the most I worked in one day was 17 hours.
Many years ago when working for the Federal Government, I was assigned to certain jobs in the Middle East. I worked 15-20 hours a day, weeks on end, sleeping where I could (outside) and when I could
16 hours was the longest & it was all overtime for me.

It happens sometimes. I can say easily I work less than my boss, he daily does at least 16-17 hours.
I’m paid to do 8 hours but usually I start before my time and finish after, with a lunch break a bit shorter than what I should do, so usually I work around 10 hour a day. But it happens when we have deadlines or important due dates we have to rush and work a lot overtime.. maybe also during weekend.
