I declined a job offer and the boss was so rude to me but why?

They gave me an offer just last Friday and after a week of thought I let them know I wasn’t interested anymore… I basically declined my offer because after the second interview with the boss I just had this bad gut reaction that he would be a nightmare to work with. I’ve heard worse some people worked in the company for a couple of weeks then declined surely that’s time wasting

Maybe because he felt you wasted his time. He's frustrated for going through that process, then you turned it down. There is nothing wrong with turning it down, as long as you were sincere in applying in the first place. But from his point of view it can be frustrating. You also might not be the first to turn it down, especially if the pay was low

Regardless of the reason, he should stay professional and not be rude.

Well they offered me the job a week ago I said yes but after thinking about it more I couldn’t get over my bad gut feeling that the boss would be an asshole to work with and today I declined the offer

Don’t worry about it. It wasn’t for you. The boss’ rudeness is a red flag. Sounds you like dodged a bullet.

at least I didn’t start working and turned down the offer I think that would be worse but I got a gut feeling when I talked to the boss that something wasn’t right he seemed very up himself and snobby

It was a financial Advisory company and I applied for a trainee administrator position with them.
