So, owners, managers, supervisors, foremen, etc - how much work do you put into training someone?
Specifically- someone that isn’t putting much effort into learning?
I’ve been a captain for a couple companies for a few years now which means training deckhands and new captains pretty regularly, and sometimes I question my ability as a leader/ trainer. I just simply have zero interest in forcing someone to learn. Come in with a good attitude, effort, and ask me questions? I’ll show you everything I know
But if I have to force it down your throat? Forget about it, you’re on your own
