For example do you judge if a workout is effective if you sweat or get your heart rate up?

I don't workout I just do sports...
and to me the effects are evident after a few weeks
I feel more energy overall, I sleep better, I do feel more fit, I eat more... and physically, my body gets a lot more defined tone
and since I've been doing it for two decades or so, I just know it will work like that, eventually
Gonna guess you can get trackers and stuff to help all that.
All I know is I hate working out, and hate any PE. And I used to do a thing were I would do 10 push ups and 50 pull ups every night. It showed if I wanted to I could easily get a six pack but I don't want one.
And I didn't really feel anything but annoyed that I was wasting my time with rubbish exercise so that's just my opinion there lol.
Whether I start seeing gains and feel the DOMS. If things that I used to do no longer wear me out like it used to, e. g. pouring a pitcher of water ( we understand the strength it takes to tilt a gallon pitcher without spilling! ), handling groceries, walking long stretches of miles without working up a sweat. Are all indicators that the workout regimen that Im on is benefiting me as it should.
*underestimate not understand
Pain and physical changes - like when I used to walk every day my dad told me my posture was different after a few weeks on the treadmill. And when I was on my feet at work all day I realized my ability to stand for long periods without foot pain had increased. And when I used to bike to the park with my dad, my belly became more firm.

I push my endurance levels. It’s something they teach in Taekwondo with speed/kick/punch bag timed “races”. It’s how I’ve learned to get a feel for it myself. When to stop and rest a moment.
If my muscles hurt (in the good way) after the exercise and it takes a bit more time/difficulty to reach that stage than few days/weeks ago, I consider it to be effective.
If you’re working on mind muscle connection. Everything will go together and you’ll feel it after a workout 🏋️♀️.
Exactly !!
I would guess if you get your heart rate up, you get a little bit of sweat going, maybe some heavy breathing. Sounds like a good workout to me
If there is any burning in the joints or muscles, contain in certain body areas that would be a good sign the workout is helping.
If you dint hurt your self and you feel you are making progress
If I am sore the next day it was a good workout. I think I will be sore tomorrow.
Once the next day I feel pain In those specific muscles I was working on, I be like fuck this work out was on pure point. That is called sweet gain pain.
By the results in attaining your goal, if you don't "cheat".
Once you learn to feel the muscle working and isolate it you will know it's a great work out. Plus getting a "pump" is awesome 😁
It depends on whether you're doing Cardio or Weight Lifting.
I determine how effective it is by how hard I have to work
Sweat, elevated heart rate, general fatigue.
When I get all sweaty
If you're seeing results in your body.
EAting clean and Healthy is important too
