Sigh... NO, it's not, however:

1. UNI isn't for everyone.

2. If you're majoring in something completely IDIOTIC that won't land you a job when you graduate, then there's no point to paying the shload of tuition.

3. If you don't maximize on the free services offered at your UNI's CAREER CENTER you're missing out on one of the biggest supposed resources available through any halfway decent UNI.

Nope. It's a credential that is often a prerequisite for many job interviews and sometimes for certain types of loans, licences, and certifications. Certain degrees open certain doors. It's not the be all end all, but it is often the minimum standard from which you have to built off of.

Not if you are motivated and working towards something. If you just don't want to go to work yet and have to kill time in a way your parents will pay for, yes.

if you like doing science it is enjoyable. If you like producing technology, it is a step. If you like learning new things, it is the correct place. Otherwise, it is meaningless.
