Is the trades better?
Not for Healthcare, law, engineering, accounting, finance, and similar industries.
Those typically require certifications after getting your Bachelor's. Ex. CPA for accounting, NCLEX for nursing, BAR for legal, etc. It depends on what it is the individual is working towards.
If someone wants to go into electrical, mechanic, hvac, and similar type service trades is the likely route
IT has both routes available, but most IT positions will still want to see a degree. It doesn't necessarily have to be a degree in IT, but helps. Usually a business degree can work.
It really just depends on the position and what the company is looking for.
Ultimately it's dependent on what someone is wanting to specialize in.

It depends on what you like. Trades tend to be more focused, teaching you only what you need to know to do a particular job extremely well. Colleges generally teach a diverse background so that students have about two years or so to figure out what they want to do and then focus one's studies after a that. Additionally, the diverse background tends to allow for innovation by giving students unrelated subjects to draw connections between.
I don’t feel like college is a waste of money when you choose a degree that can land you a career. Also it requires a lot of networking, and getting internships. I went to school for business in undergrad and finance for my masters. I wish for my undergrad I would have gotten my degree in finance to begin with, but beyond that I think it helped me still get a job. It took me a year after college to get a job (graduated 2018) and two years to work in finance specifically.
It depends, I managed to make it out with pretty minimal debt, and get a decent job afterword. It depends on a lot of different factors. Most of the time I see someone with mountains of debt and no real job it’s because they took out more loans than they needed, and got a bullshit degree… or ended up dropping out. Whole time I was in, I was working full time too, and got a STEM degree which lead to better options for work. I still have some debt though…

I wouldn't say that college is always a waste, but there are many worthless programs that do nothing for you other than earn you a piece of paper and the ability to claim holding a degree, while all trades will pay for themselves and have steady demand.
I would absolutely say that college actively wastes your time (and money) regardless though due to redundant or pointless coursework, even for degrees that are actually worthwhile.
It depends on what you want to do. If you want to pursue a trade then learning that trade is best. If you want a career in a field that requires a college degree, then to that.
College is an important step in some paths, not others Decide where you want to go and then see if its on your path
It is a waste of time if you’re always partying, sleeping in, or doing whatever that’s not getting you to your education goals. Even more so if you’re there without choosing a specialty subject or course.
Not if you're going for a STEM degree. Otherwise, it's fairly likely to be a waste.
Colleges and universities are just woke feminist bullshit factories.
