My career has been in rail transit. Most of the time, the train drives itself, automatically controlling its speed and stopping/starting at stations. The driver is there to open/close doors make announcements, and in case something goes wrong.

Oh God. I'm boring as hell to most and dredge up awful memories to a lot. In fact, I've been pitied by some when i stated my profession / career. I'm... I'm... Oh God I can't say it!!! I'm a... History teacher!

@Lynx122. I DESPISE USA history. I think comparatively USA Americans are too young and too dumb to have a proper history. I ♥️ world history and also have taught psychology, sociology, criminology, civics and economics too but 🌎 is my jam!! My state does the Latin America in 5th grade, eastern hemisphere in 6th grade and then world history &; geography in 9th & 10th. They do USA history 7,8 & 11th and civic & economics in 12th. It's not ignored but the way Americans fluff their own cocks on USA history is disturbing to be sure!

@DrPepper12
wait wait, how can you teach in several fields at the same time, how many masters you got here, by my calculation, you should have, at the very least, 4 different diplomas to allow that ! 😅 - 8 mo
@Maybe_Maybe_not. Just two! My state certifies "social studies" 7-12 grade and your dept chair assigns classes. After that you're on you're own but colleagues are super helpful and collegial. Tbh I requested two cuz I was bored but 2nd half of my career I had paid my dues and got world history with AP & IB Kids as well as the special Ed classes. Truly I never worked a day in my life - it was too much fun!!

Damn I'm completely lost :D
I'm not from US so it would be a long talk to have me understand how all of this translates to the school system I know. In my school system to teach in all you teach, you would need:
master in social science (sociology+economics)
master in psychology (psycho+crimino)
master in history (history+geo+civics)

Very few things in USA education make sense tbh. Well, USA in general if I'm really honest

Something interesting about programming... I don't think there are many things like that. And I don't really want to insult Your intelligence, either... How about... There is a whole subset of problems that cannot be solved in reasonable time constraints, but if a potential solution to them already exists, it can be tested for being correct almost effortlessly. It might be obvious, but I find it interesting that it mirrors our general reality - finding a solution to most problems is far harder than either evaluating or using said solution. Say, finding a cure for a given health condition is usually far harder than checking if a known potential cure actually works.
10 Reply Well I tune commercial computers. It is the best of all computer games and highly measurable so you know how well you have done. I go for 90% or better. A lot of it is finding the right key to a problem.
Most people ask with respect to a problem ''what can I do' and the answer is usually not much, nothing. The correct question is 'what must I do' and vastly different answers result from this question.
But it must be realized with small effort and 90% of the problem solving is finding a low effort way to achieve. It is such a buzz when I do and can implement. Love it.00 Replyu

30 Reply1.2K opinions shared on Education & Career topic. Programming is a performance profession. It's a bit like musical performance -- merely having a degree get you a seat on stage. Many people with computer science degrees can't write working code.

My expertise in the field of being a young man tells me that a lot of people are fd up.
Okay but I'm all seriousness, the most interesting thing about my work is that I get to talk to strangers every day and learn about their lives. And then I'm gone. It's an endlessly intriguing routine.

When you start working on a new AI its are so fucking dumb its unbelievable but we use other more advanced AI's to teach the dumber ones to be smarter until they surpass the AI's we used to coach them and use these improved AI's to train the next generation in a method that simulates evolution just sped up countless times.

That I was tasked with designing/building overpasses/crossings, dry culverts and fencing to make sure all the animals (deer, moose, bunnies, turtles, snakes, etc.) on one side of the highway/roadway could cross without being run over.

could be because the same question will spawn for girls only, it would help for statistics, just a random guess, and not especially plausible
