How to get motivation to study bad grades from high school at 20?

Maybe try to get a friend or someone that knows the subject very well to teach you. He could explain it to you in a way you can easily understand at the speed you need while checking that you understand the material. That might work for subjects like math. If you need to just learn something by heart, maybe you can do it with a friend and it might become easier.
