I like to interact with my students, but I don’t like grading homework.

What I like is that my schedule is actually insaine. What I do everyday is crazy and I really like who I work with except my editor sometimes who started showing up with a noise maker. He always switches between the same 3 settings.
Why am I at the beach? Why am I in traffic? Why am I listening to plant wave? How does he do his job?
That guy's kinda whatever, what I don't like is sales. I hate selling jobs. I'm still looking for a sales man or woman... Maybe even other I don't know.
I hate making the presentations and doing all the legwork and having meetings with people who are bullshitters. And sometimes the ones that seem like bullshitters are really the serious ones. And taking on the persona you need to do the sales is like chewing on glass sometimes.
And then after all that work, customer service, not sleeping on their project a lot of them still try to fuck with you. And there's an etiquette to responding to that which I'm still learning.

I work in the film industry and I love it because I get to work on some pretty cool projects. But it has many downsides like when companies say a position is entry level but they want someone who has 3+ years of industry experience just because they don’t want to pay someone extra for that experience. Secondly, I was let go from a job because they didn’t want to train me on new material, instead they told me I was supposed to be exactly like two of my colleagues who had way more experience than me and I would never make it in this business unless I was exactly like them. With all that happening and multiple union strikes, the job market is low and people have been leaving the industry all together but I can’t because I don’t have any other skills that could work in other industries and I can’t afford to go back to school. So right now I’m just kind of waiting around and applying to places in hopes someone will give me a chance and be patient with me.

That is not fair. It can't be entry level fir people with experience.

Exactly and that’s why many people are leaving the industry.

I think speed and quality and isolation are 3 things about my job that might be able to be improved. Speed because I feel like I don't get my data and ideas at the speed I want, and feel I have to maintain momentum to keep myself relevant. Quality because if I work too fast, the quality of my creation might go down. Isolation, because I have to take on things others do not, due to the fact I do not have the money to finance the kinds of help others can afford to make their work processes better and more lucrative.

Working is some bullshit. My job is to drink beers. Play video games. Lift weights. And be wanted by every chick I come into human contact with. I haven't worked in 20 years and I have more money than most of you. I just fuck chicks.
... and I'm not all that hawt either, I'm not trying to say that or act like I have an ego about being so god damn sexy. But lift weights like you mean it... Just like a dude will pay for a decent chick at home... chicks do that too. In this way be progressive/liberal and take advantage of not working.
Or go make some boomer money all day... the call is up to you.

I work in management. It’s very hard to unsee people’s true colors. I’ve become increasingly skeptical of human behavior because in general the mass majority avoid accountability and want the most amount of benefit for the least amount of effort
people tell me one thing to be my friend but use such information to publicly stab me in the back to prove a point later.
everyone blames management when things go wrong but when I implement changes the same people are angry I’m doing something different.
People are quick to abandon any sense of responsibility or accountability and immediately blame others when their decisions cause a problem
People want to be leaders so I delegate my responsibilities to them as opportunity. and when they fail they say I didn’t teach or guide them properly Their motivations are rooted in wanting to rule and be seen; but they cannot hold their ground when things go awry

I like the pay and the feeling of making a difference.
394 opinions shared on Education & Career topic. making a difference in people's lives, people that misuse the EMS system.
They tie up precious resources for no real reason while that keeps us from helping someone that really needs help.
We had a lady call 911 for some reason, that she could have easily taken herself or walked to the hospital.
We were cleaning up the ambo when we saw her walk out of the er because she would have to wait.
Meanwhile there was an actual call for EMS that another rig had to take from a different further away station causing a longer response time and a delay of treatment for that person who was having a bonified emergency.00 ReplyWorking from home sucks. Working for a certain nationality sucks. Avoiding racism here, but this nationality doesn't really believe in human rights, so I see a lot of legitimately evil stuff.
The best thing is the money. For me. Not for the front line. They get paid like shit.10 Reply- 7 mo
I like my job. I like the pace, the work from home options, it compensates well. I don’t like when colleagues call me with stupid questions that are easily solvable if they just didn’t overreact first. I mean there isn’t much I can do if I’m working from home that day.

I love love retail management. I love helping customers to look for the particular products they want. And also recommending items. What I don't like is when employees mistreat customers I always put customers first before employee. I hate it when employees come in to work late. Employees are more hard to deal with.

Do you at least get pay more? My friend is a teacher she told me teachers do a lot of work for less pay. Is that true?

I get paid very well and get to travel a lot. sometimes need to work 7 days a week need to spend 36+ hours traveling from one edge of the planet to the other and work crazy hours plus jetlag. I guess more days off would be nice but i wouldn't get paid nearly as well.

How do you put up with all these crazy patients. Lol
- 7 mo
@Alwayreckles93 lmao pretty much I try to have as little contact with the crazy patients as much as possible. And just try to give them what they want. Also my coworkers taught me to not get too close to them. And all my coworkers are dealing with the same, so we just kind of talk about it to let out steam
