You leave a lot of choices out. This is a rubbish poll. I am Indian and speak very fluent English.

What does this information do for you? I can speak Hindi and English like it is reading from a script, but I can also speak other languages and even some dialects.

My husband is Aussie. I have learned a number of words and phrases since following him to his hometown. I love the people here, they crack me up with their ‘lingo’. I never understood the very subtle intricacies of their language.

Some of seems really dumb, but I assure you as a semi-native Aussie that I understand most of them. Oh! By the way! Most of them are so endearing for an outsider. I would not move from here, ever. I love it.

I speak Dutch, English, German, and a bit of French.
I can also understand a few sub languages like Irish, Scottish, Afrikaans, flemmish and pappiamento etc.

Is Dutch at all like German?

Quite some words sound alike and have a similar meaning as they're both germanic languages.
So they're close, but you wouldn't automatically be able to speak one if you know the other.

Hehe, no not really. Dutch and German are way closer to eachother. Like if you know Dutch you'd be able to communicate with someone speaking German, but it would still be hard. Speaking Spanish to a Frenchman will result in a very confused Frenchman 😅
