Why is everyone so busy?

Like i don't hear from friends months on end, days on end. I don't have a job so I'm pretty bored.

I think that’s what the main issue is, you’re not working so they seem “so” busy. For me, those lengths of time become more and more normal. As we all enter careers (not just jobs), marriages, parenthood, adulthood and all that comes with it, there’s less and less time to casually text friends. There’s less prioritization of having those conversations so regularly and honestly less interest sometimes. I don’t have a plethora of friends but I can’t think of any besides 1 that I talk to even once a week.

They’re busy with a job I guess based on context clues, though if you want to talk to friends you should call in now & then a few hours after they get home and talk or text before calling like “Hey bestie, you free to talk… Its been so long since we’ve called” or something like that. They’ll understand.

We occasionally fail to speak with our loved ones because life gets in the way. While that may appear to be a weak justification, for many of us, it is frequently the case. When you're bored, try something new or go for a stroll in the park. Perhaps bring a book and sit on the grass while listening to the birds chirp; it is quite peaceful.

It's just that part of the year I guess

They're putting hours in to make money so they can make ends meet.

Fortunately people like you and I have been able to avoid that struggle. A lot of people have not been able to though.
