Within society in general. It's always work, work, work! For what?

I recently knew someone about whom it could be said that he literally worked himself to death. He was always doing something, and it was quite often hard, back-breaking work, and in the end he died at the (relatively) young age of 63 from inoperable cancer. He owned properties, he had a lot of "stuff", but was he able to take any of these goodies with him into the afterlife?

I realise that in order to get paid we have to do something in return. That only makes sense, and I even do voluntary work for which I get paid nothing at all, simply because I like doing it, but so many people just take it way too far.

"For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." - 1 Timothy 6:7 to 10

There's nothing wrong with being lazy. Be proud of it! :)
