What can I do if my coworkers are purposely excluding me and their tone is that they dislike me?

I work at a retirement home as a nurse and I use to be cool with most of my coworkers, only some. So recently something happened where a complicated resident was complaining about me. She complains and reports everyone. Suddenly two of my coworkers were saying how I did not stand up for myself. But they don’t know that I usually do. It’s because I could not understand the resident as she sometimes speaks a different language. So now everyone at work seems to be distancing themselves and even the ones that like me seem to be rude and ignore me and exclude me. What should I do? I had been nothing but nice or decent to these people.

It’s best to focus on your work and try not to be too disappointed that your coworkers have turned on you. I honestly don’t think there’s anything you can say to change their minds about you. They have already formed an opinion, even though that opinion is not correct.

Don’t put effort into trying to get them to like you. That seems like a waste since they started treating you badly over such a frivolous reason. They probably aren’t the best people.
