Is it worth me joining the Army Reserve as a medic?

Getting old and unsure if it worth it to join the reserves at my age. I feel like reserves are looked down on I wanted to go when I was younger full time but let my ex stop me. Now that im older I still want the experience of joining the army do Thinking the reserve would be good now that im a nursing student.
