Is being in the military a turn off?

It seems like most women aren't interested once I tell them I'm in the military, or they lose interest later when they realize I might be deployed or leave in the next few years. It seems like dating would be easier if I wasn't in the military.

They marry some soldier boy and get cheated on, dumped, gets the sh*t beat out of her, raped, treated like a slave in some macho movie acting out BS, or he gets brain damage in deployment, or gets his nuts blown off, or has psych problems forever. Don’t try to get a wife or girlfriend pregnant while in military. They will cheat on you. And you will likely cheat on her since there are always hookers trying to get money from military men. They know the pay dates. It would be better to finish military and go straight to school with your GI bill. Focus on your career and make something of yourself. Don’t get tied down to a woman. Big mistake. You will have plenty if time to find a girl and make babies. But you only have one shot to make something of yourself while you are young.

For me, personally, it is. A woman with a gun is an unnatural thing, as far as I'm concerned; and soldiers, like police officers, don't always have the best reputation in my country.

Big mistake getting serious with girls if you are in the military. You go on deployment for a year so your basically dead to her for a year and she either dumps you or cheats.
