Yes, I agree with the statistics that the number of mathematically minded people is higher among men. But science is not necessarily mathematics. There are many different areas.

Today the teacher said that astronomy is a science for men. Because there is a lot of physics, mathematics, mechanical calculations, etc. Although I personally know more about space than anyone in my class

That's a stereotype that died a long time ago. I rarely see that attitude these days. It seems more women themselves who have that mindset, or perhaps insecurity, despite the fact that STEM has literally rolled out the red carpet for females to go into STEM. My younger sister is a Materials Scientist and has a bachelors degree in the field. She has told me how she almost felt guilty about what she perceived as special treatment she as a female received in school and in her career.

It's just left over mindsets from in general believing men are superior to women. I myself am an engineer with a master's, and many of my STEM teachers in highschool, and most of my math professors in college were women. Don't anyone discourage you from pursuing science if that's something you want to do just because you're a girl.

I know I’m late, though idc congrats on you knowing more in the class than they do and stereotype grouping sucks regardless of gender.
