Why do people have such a dogmatic view of science?

It’s annoying when people say “I don’t believe in God, I believe in Science.” Okay, well you’re just replacing “God” with another God, it’s just a different name.

Just say, I’m a logical human being and I consider all possibilities. That would be better than having some stupid undying loyalty to science and scientist.

Just imagine "trusting in science" just because a scientist said it. As if they couldn't be wrong. What a horrible philosophy to have.

"It might resemble religion but there is a key difference. That difference is evidence. There is a better reason to be confident in the scientific method than to be confident in religious dogma."

I can have evidence that bigfoot is real and that i saw him. Evidence is not what makes a theory true. Empirical evidence that is tested thoroughly and holds up in testing is what makes a hypothesis a theory.

So the "key difference" isn't evidence.

This man can't even properly form an argument
