That is very easy:
Women have been barred from STEM Fields and all forms of business, science, law, etc since basically the beginning of time. This becomes ingrained in the culture, genetics, etc, and women were not expected to get into those fields. But to get married, have children, and render the children. Any form of work women had was by the permission of the men in their lives. There were rules and still today expectations women are to adhere to and follow. Regardless of your personal belief, what matters is the rules and expectations that are expected of you in both societies and what God says what one shoudl and shouldn't do.
So while most people would do whatever they want, it comes with consequences. If you can't handle the consequences or the burdens, it's best not to do so if you have not called in that area to do so. I know for myself, as I cannot speak for other women. I am not that versed in maths especially. That is just me. I am more of a writer and a person in the creative fields. I can probably get into sciences as LONG as it doesn't go into too much math. I cannot find myself doing accounting because again, too much maths. That is just ME. Meanwhile, I have family members and friends who are science and math-oriented. They are creative also but can get into STEM fields easily because again, how their brain is wired. This points out another thing.
How women's brains are wired isn't always wired to do so. Even if you teach this as we have always been taught and educated, most women and girls are more concerned about relationships, sex, having children, and getting married. They are not concerned too much about STEM, and if they do, unless they have those options presented <-- which is a difference because, in certain countries like Europe, Japan, you are designated into certain fields. I heard back in the 50s,60s, you had designations at the time where they would measure your level of intelligence in elementary school. The path you had, was the one you were often encouraged to take based on your talents, skills, ability to problem solve, and how you do them. There is a reason why very few women get into those fields. Not every woman and girl can. Sorry to say.
The difference between a man and woman is that vastly different that most men would be uncomfortable based on mental differences. Again, it may be a mix of sexist attitudes depending on how it is done. But because men were often expected to solve those problems in a practical way. Since more and more women doing practical things, a lot of men are skipping them because again, what more of a purpose is a man in a woman's life if she can do it all without him? Men need to feel needed also. So there is a need for balance and trying to force more women into those fields is going to cause a major shift sexually and socially.
"Because if you truly wanted to, you find a way to make it happen." God is in control. It is only by the grace of God, and given the ability to do so if it is His will in your life to do so, in his name, can you be able to. You have to remember some people have sadly done what they have done to gain power, etc, down here. Not everybody who graduates from college will get into the careers they want or studied for. Not everybody who goes to college guarantees a job. Not everybody who wants to go to college does, and not everybody who goes to college belongs in college, let alone make it out of there. So again, it's about who is designated and who isn't. This is why they have all of these tests, to see who is who and to measure your abilities.
Just because you have an extraordinary person, according to this world, if you are not for the world, then you are an enemy of it. So you can be the brightest person in the class if you are not useful, they don't want you in their society. Plus, as girls as we age, again, often focus on relationships, marriage, sex, etc. STEM is mostly a hobbie, but very few desire to actually have as a career.10 Reply

As such, women are naturally drawn to fields where they are interacting with other people, be that medical-related, mental health, social work, teaching, or what have you. Women mostly want to be around lots of other people and interact with them as a part of their job.
Men, on the other hand, like "things." Whether those things are cars, buildings, machines, computers, planets (physics, astronomy, etc.), tools, weapons, gadgets, or new inventions, men tend to be interested in "stuff."
Our brains and our personalities have evolved to optimize for these preferences as well. Women, who tend to be dealing with lot of people, often all at once, are very good at multi-tasking - far better than most men are or can be. Men are much more likely to be able to focus on a single problem or issue, to the exclusion of everything else, something most women don't do well. That's why a woman can be at ease in a houseful of kids, visiting with a friend, and talking on the phone all at the same time (which would drive most men insane), while a man can be at ease working on a car or some other project in the garage, alone, for hours and hours.
If you look at STEM fields, the majority of them tend to be about "things", with the medical field being the biggest exception, as there are more areas in medicine with people interaction than any of the others. As you would expect, most women in STEM tend to choose medical fields.
Again, there are exceptions - I knew a female programmer who had no trouble keeping up with the guys - and I also met a female architect who had a great reputation in her field - but statistically, these were a very small percentage of the population.
The thing is: there's nothing wrong with that. I absolutely believe that a woman who WANTS to be in a STEM field should have the same opportunity to do so - but she'll also need to put in the same level of effort and have the same level of talent as the men in that field. You don't want an architect or engineer who is incompetent - regardless of their genitalia - because that can lead to disasters. Those fields are tough to get into for very good reason, and tons of men try and fail, so it shouldn't be a surprise if some women fail too - and we should NOT lower the bar just to ensure more women get in.
It really comes down to choice. People should be allowed to pursue their desired career path - and in the US, that's been the case legally for 50+ years, with very, very few exceptions - such as military Special Forces units. But, having the choice, most women aren't going to choose a STEM field, because that's simply not what they WANT to do. And the idea that "the world is unfair or sexist if careers aren't gender-split 50/50" is absolutely insane - ESPECIALLY since the people who espouse such ideas want only to apply that criteria to high-paying office-type jobs, and never to the low-paying, heavy physical labor, outdoor jobs. Lowering standards to ensure the inclusion of more women in difficult career fields won't help anyone in the long run - just the opposite, and it certainly doesn't respect the idea of CHOICE.10 Reply

u +1 ySome women are extremely intelligent and I am not suggesting otherwise, but. . . men tend to be more satisfied with things that are logical, predictable, repeatable, provable. Women tend to be happier with things that call for intuitiveness, emotional sensitivity, social awareness, and perceptiveness. So I think that it is natural for men to be more interested in STEM fields and women to be more interested in teaching, nursing, and other fields tat are traditionally considered to be female endeavors.
Yes, if a woman wants to be a rocket scientist, she should have that opportunity, and some of them will make excellent rocket scientists. And some guys are capable of teaching third graders. But most of us are happier in fields that are traditional for our gender.11 Reply- +1 y

I’m a women into stem
I did biology biochem major
Currently in medical school
I think that’s because it’s long and hard and women worry about their youth and age. And worry of not finding someone.. but I think it’s stupid. You are a garbage man you are a dentist you are whatever you will always find people. There is no reason to stop doing smth because you are a women and you will get old. Yes I’m 30 yes still learning yes I’m not married but oh yeah I meet amazing guys in medical school… there is chance to meet someone you like whenever you are.
Do short whatever quick quick education so you can get married is a scam from haters. Don’t fall into that trap it’s a trap.
Always do the best for your self never settle downgrade because of age and not getting a “men” he is there in whatever field you just have to wash your eyes and look better20 Reply
+1 yBy and large, because they don't want to. Oh, some do- and more power to 'em. But evolution doesn't end at the neck, and the only time people do things against both their biological drives AND their own interests is when they're forced to. This is why the rate of female STEM degree-holders is so much higher in Iran than, say, Sweden. Let people choose, and most of them (not all, but most) will choose what's expected of them.
Gender roles aren't the enemy until they stop being descriptive and start being PROscriptive.10 Reply12.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. They are, it's just not very productive as a career choice for many of them to go far into it. There are few female advisors to help them with it.
Elon Musk failed more than he succeeded, but he had a good pile of money to keep himself afloat. He hasn't built shit, it's all bought and manufactured by subsidiaries. Ali had his faults and failures, but it was his life antics, more than his boxing, which made him a celebrity. No idea where you got that shit about slavery from. There were many riots and revolts and Blacks are still not "free" as the 13th ensures most are still under slave rule.
In short, stay in school kid. You'll never make STEM, but maybe another career is out there for you. Maybe an Uber driver or something.12 Reply- +1 y
"Elon Musk failed more than he succeeded, but he had a good pile of money to keep himself afloat. He hasn't built shit, it's all bought and manufactured by subsidiaries."
Ask any leader of their field, and they will readily admit that they failed more than they succeeded, because that's how progress happens. Edison failed a lot. Tesla (Nikola) failed a lot. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, Larry & Sergei - they all failed many times. But they succeeded in making real overall changes, and that's why they are considered successful.
And Elon has never held himself out an an inventory - he's a businessman. It's not his job to design cars or rocket parts - it's his job to find the right people to manage those things, and to make sure they have the right people working for them. And it's his job to have the larger vision, and to approve the plans and to secure the financing to make it possible. That's what CEOs do, and Elon is great at that, which is why he is as wealthy as he is.
I'm not always a fan of his personal decisions or his specific business practices, but it's absolutely false to say that he's not successful, or that his companies haven't created new things. Any car manufacturer in the world can tell you that Tesla is 5 years or more ahead of them in many areas, and has absolutely disrupted the automobile business. That doesn't mean his cars are perfect - no car is, and Tesla is still very new to the game and still learning from their mistakes - but the overall success is undeniable. - +1 y
You can say the same for Space X. Their services are so reliable and so cost-effective that NASA relies on them heavily, as do many other big companies. Space X is an unqualified success in their industry.
Elon's solar company (Solar City/Tesla Power)? Well, THAT is something of an embarrassment, and it remains to be seen how that will end up, but things seem to be looking up there as well, after years of problems. I'd give him a 60% chance of success in the long run with that, which is LOW, given that Tesla and Space X are in the high 90s.
+1 yNeurology shows us that men utilize more logic based thinking whilst women use more emotionally driven thinking. STEM is all logic based thinking. Men biologically have the upper hand when it comes to physics and mathematics. Look at the ratio between male and females regarding mathematical discoveries throughout all of history. It’s all male. Progressives tell us it’s because us engineers are sexist and disregard all logic with pseudo social science classifying the disparity as a “social construct”. It makes no sense to render such bold biological differences null when looking at these data sets. Truth be told, engineers want more women in our field. It’s a sausage fest. This is merely a baseless talking point that progressives often bring up to make them feel as if they’re fighting for something noble.

+1 yI think a lot of people avoid STEM cause they don’t have the skills for it - I knew multiple woman who could not get above 65 in high school math. You could argue that skills can be acquired with hard work and mental training but not everyone agrees that IQ is elastic. I did watch a Ted Talks recently of an engineering professor who flunked grade 12 math and could not afford to go to college off family income as a teen so had to join the military to pay for it, but some have no confidence.

@Not_Average because I am not opposing his thoughts, as simple as that
and what I said is not a baseless insult, is a keen observation
and if you believe that I did is pointless... then for you to questioning is rather stupid - +1 y
Why don’t you elaborate then? You’re acting like this has some clever deeper rooted meaning. I don’t see it. You have a ton of grammatical errors as well. What’s the point you’re getting at?

@Not_Average elaborate on what exactly?
there's no acting, it is a simple observation, no more no less
feel free to point out every single grammatical error of mine, in fact feel free to go all over my opinions on point out every error you find and correct them... for this I will be grateful believe it or not
I've never studied English so yes, improvement is something I should aim for... so how about you get at it... I'll wait

The reason why most white men today are CEOs is because today is because most of the white we’re doing better off than black people. Yea If you wanna go back, some white people would have been better off due to racism but for the most part most CEOs today like Elon musk earn their way to being their. Black people simply haven’t figured out the process to doing that

It’s blacks people fault that so many of us are in prison. It’s blacks people fault that so many of us are dead because we keep putting ourselves in situations where we could be killed. Of course their will be accidents where it truly wasn’t their fault at all and for anyone who has suffered through that. I am sorry they had to. I have a question for you? Why do you so many of us go to prison/jail
