Marriage benefits men more, divorce benefits women more, but those are SEPARATE things. Look at WHY women divorce do often?

Studies show married men live longer, and are healthier overall. Nowadays men go to work while the wife, goes to work those same hours and THEN comes home to do most domestic labor alone as well. Plenty of married women complain about that very issue, and it's the main reason women file for divorce

Any man who says "70% of marriages end in divorce" without looking into WHY they end in divorce is not a man worth marrying in the first place. Women have been saying lately that what they want from a man is emotional support, stability, honesty, loyalty etc and the vast majority of men cannot deliver that. These men think working a job and paying HALF the bills is all they need to score a wife. Welp sorry it's 2023 and women have the ability to bring in their own income, so men need to offer more than just a paycheck if they want a successful marriage.

Single women with no kids are happier and live longer than married women, this is been proven over an over.

So the hard truth is that women have increased their standards for marriage and men are failing to live up to the standards. But because men are so used to getting whatever they want.. they can't fathom the idea of actually living up to those standards, so instead they blame women for not accepting mediocrity. All in all 70% of women aren't filing for divorce for no reason, be freaking real.

I will say DIVORCE benefits women more than men. However that literally because of the laws MEN made. Women were paid for divorce because in the past women didn't work jobs, they stayed home, so they and their children still needed that financial support from the man. If u men wanna be mad at that, be mad at the laws YOU MADE. It's absolutely astounding to me how the majority of men have no self reflection skills, you'd rather blame women than actually just be a better person/husband. Women do not have to put up with the half assed effort from u guys anymore.

There is a lot of misinformation and bias here, but I only have time to focus on a few things for now.

First, the studies that showed married men live longer were deeply flawed for two reasons. First, in order to know which group of men live longer, you have to wait until the die, obviously. So by necessity these studies were based mostly on very old men who benefitted from marriage of the past. Marriage today is VERY different than what it was decades ago when most of the men studied were married. If the same study was done 30 years from now, it would show very different results because men today benefit from marriage far less than men of the past did..

Second, the studies grouped divorced men with never-married men, so men who married and then had their lives destroyed by divorce obviously skewed the results in a huge way.

Which leads to your claim that marriage and divorce are separate things, which is utter nonsense. You cannot separate the two because divorce is a direct result of marriage. If you want to distinguish between happy marriages and unhappy ones, that's fine, but it's not reality because no one goes into marriage thinking it will be an unhappy one that fails. Otherwise no one would ever get married. Happy marriages do benefit both sexes, but the reality is most marriages today are not happy ones.

Divorce is a unfortunate reality of marriage, and women are the primary reason it happens. You need only look at divorce rates among heterosexual, gay and lesbian couples for the proof. The highest rate of divorce, by far, is among lesbian couples, the lowest rate is among gay couples, and heterosexual couples are in between. In other words, women are the common denominator in the vast majority of divorces. The more women who are involved, the higher the likelihood the marriage will end in divorce.

Here's another important fact. The number 1 reason for divorce is lack of commitment, and women initiate 80% of divorces. The implications of that are clear and astounding.

Women are almost single handedly destroying marriage.

One more point. You claim that the primary reason women file for divorce is because they do most of the domestic work, and that is false. Studies show the reasons for most divorces have nothing to do with that. In fact, married couples who share domestic duties equally are MORE likely to divorce.

I think money is the main reason for divorce right? Not that women work and come home and clean the house while the man doesn't. The second paragraph you wrote was actually spot on. For so long men just had to have a job and they would get a wife, no problem. Now women are making their own money and dont need to rely on another mans money. Men haven't been taught the emotional things like women have for so long while they weren't working. So women were learning how to take care of kids, cooking, cleaning and how to show their emotions while men didn't have to until now.

regardless of what the reasons are for divorce, the stats show women are the ones least likely to work on the marriage than men are. men and women have different communication patterns. men more so direct. women more so covert. when a woman says "I'm fine!" while pouting, she's really "not fine" and this is where there becomes lapses in communication until she checks out of the relationship often blindsiding the man when she files for divorce.
