Get married? Awesome! All those phantomic benefits and that marriage certificate paper. If it fails regardless who broke the vow, you'll be protected and rewarded.
Get divorced? Even better! Adios to the man. Say hello to free alimoney and child support and the whole entire house!
How do some women resist doing that?

Because I’d prefer to be with someone I love. I probably would make more than him anyway so why would I go through the hassle?

Many women are smart enough to know they end up with less financial support. True; they may be awarded the house, at least until the children are adults, and custody of the children but they already have that. However, typically, child support is 18 to 25 percent of the man's income which terminates when the children are adults. However, that is a huge reduction from the amount of support they received while married.

My mom was legitimately cheated on and could have ended my dad's career but didn't. She still gets money from alimony but she could have gotten him dishonorably discharged eeaaasily.

And he's a pilot, he's making six figures a year regardless of his time in the military and if he was discharged honorably or not.

It's not by the state dude, the military has its own laws.

When you sign up to be with them you sign away your rights and embrace much stricter laws that govern your life.

You are government property at that point. If they tell you to jump, you ask how high.

You just post whatever pops into your head without doing any research. Obviously, she would looking out for her own interest (i. e., money). Assuming the unlikely event that a man will be given a dishonorable discharge over adultery, it is difficult in any profession to get hired with a dishonorable discharge; let alone a pilot.

Unless combined with other offenses, a dishonorable discharge or even a court martial over adultery is extremely rare if ever.
