I went to college off-and-on from my late teens to mid 30s. Six colleges in three states.
In my teens I wasn't ready. I think my first choice of majors was the right one, but I just wasn't ready.
Nothing wrong with waiting. So many people go to college because they are "supposed" to. But they have no real direction and their heart isn't in it. As they get a bit older they understand why they are going and what they want out of it.21 Reply- 4 mo
Yep they don't just take it for granted

I was forced so yeah. Didn't do much. In fact I got it so I only had to go in once a week. Basically I was just there for legal reasons, as you have to be doing at least some form or education or employment until 18.

That's fair enough

I'll graduate high school in 2026 and be in college then, trying for NUS or Oxford as my first choice otherwise Cambridge or NLU (National Law University) or IIT (Indian institute of technology). I know I can't get into ivy league so I stopped expecting for that, I don't have many extra curriculars, only my academics. I will simply not go to college if I can't get into any of these.

That's quite the statement ha

Either everything or nothing. No in between.

Yes. I received my undergraduate grad. around 23 or 24… I started at 18… took me 6 years. By 22 I got my full time job and was a teacher assistant with the department of education. So I went to school part time. I had to get my masters with in 5 years after and I did… then I can get 30 more credits to get top pay… and I did… done with everything by 30.

Yes, I went to college in my youth. I earned an MBA from Harvard University, which greatly impacted my career in education and career development. My experience there helped shape my understanding of both fields, allowing me to guide others effectively.

It took SO much time out of my life and put me behind in the working world because all the time I was in school, I could have been getting more work experience.

Time is indeed something you can't get back
Yes, I did. Got a degree that I will probably never use lol But that's okay, it's one of those degrees that will always be relevant if I ever do happen to need it.
17 Reply- 4 mo
What degree is that? Cause you didn't mention 🤣
- 4 mo
Can't argue with that, that's what's up lol

Interesting was it worth it?
- 4 mo
Yep, "going to" is the right turn of phrase lol, I'm not going to say I paid the required attention, I had other things in mind

I did. I went to University of Kentucky and graduated with a bachelor's in psychology.

So did you do anything with your degree? Or you went directly to dancing?
- 4 mo
I was already part time teaching dance. I just turned it full time after college. Didn't do anything with my degree 😂
- 4 mo
Lol so you had your plans before you graduated 😂
- 4 mo
Not fully, no. It's one of those things where I got an opportunity dropped in my lap and I ran with it. To do anything that would actually make money in psychology I would've had to go after a doctorate. I make more now than I would have with a master's in psychology.
- 4 mo
Sounds like a ceasing the opportunity moment, can't think of anyone that wouldn't
- 4 mo
No. I went and finished my profession bachelor in my late 20s tho.
