They have the brass to send you a letter "You have three business days from receiving this letter before we sell your private info to third parties. including social security, your address, all phone numbers attached to your address..." on and on. wtf "Oh and welcome to our company."

Probably about a year and a half ago I called it my cable people and I told him to cancel it I didn't want it anymore all I wanted was the internet and my landmine home phone they said we were being recorded I said great well every month after for another year it kept sending me a bill I took the boxes out I put them in my car taken back to spectrum but I could never get away because I was taking care of my mother at the time but they charged me for over a year and they told me that I had to go in to the office and tell the people in there no you take my money right here you're going to turn it off right here you can turn it on right here so why can't you turn it off because it's a big f****** scam but it's like that with everything if there's a loophole they're going to pull it

And even if you tell them not to sell it I guarantee it they're selling it

I think the letter should say you have 3 days to sign up not 3 days to opt out.

It's bullshit. All information sharing should be opt in, as in optional, as in you have to opt into it, not opt out. These companies make it near impossible to opt out as well.
