Most casino dealers are tip workers, meaning an 8 hr shifts pay really depends on the players, if we get bad tables our pretax check for the day could be $60... but most people don't tip, or if they do, they don't tip like they'd tip their waitresses... do you tip?

I don't go to casinos I've only been like 3 times. The Ones I've been to you don't have to tip though. I think it's a bit crazy to build a business where you take peoples money and then also expect them to pay your employees for you. American employers really are good at gaslighting people. I don't know how they do it.

Actually most dealers are barely paid minimum wage and see 0 benefit when you lose... the house pays them to deal cards accurately, you pay them to be nice while. thwy perform this skilled labor.

That’s their job to be nice but from what I’ve seen, they’re not friendly. They’re poker face and straight to the point. Also, it’s their job to win. Basically they are the opponent. It’s like a boxing match. Why would I tip my opponent to take my money away from me?

We are given metrics, we are expected to be able to deal 300 hands of blackjack per hour and they kero track of how much we lose by mispays... nowhere are we required to be nice
