How do you stay disciplined?

It’s just determination , inner strength and focus. Those without discipline will always easily be led astray. I see it all the time where people get so emotional over what they say they want or need and then in a very short space of time that goal is cast aside because they get a setback or a little off track or drawn.
Day 1 , I’m so unfit I need to exercise more sob sob tears , wah wah
Day 2 , gym membership for a year with great intentions , new kit etc
Day 3 , this is hard work but I need to do it
Day 4 , this isn’t fun I’m not getting fit fast enough and I can’t see my friends as much
Day 5 , eating junk food in the sofa , “gym sucks I’m just not going to bother”
Memento Mori - Remember you must die
It is a reminder that I will perish but as a man of faith Im aware there is consequences after death which reminds me of my mortality and keeps me in check when it comes to how I treat others, what I give I'll get in return, it also helps me to not get over my head as no matter how immortal I feel at any moment I am nothing but a mortal and if I let the world corrupt me I'll meet the same fate as those who refuse to accept and surrender to their mortality, death will reach us all and what comes after it is inevitable, all I can do as a living intellectual being is prepare for that time and make sure when the time arrives that I have myself in check, it's quite a disciplined mindset if you ask me.
I use reward pedagogy and nudging on myself.

I’m struggling to do so lately. I go through periods where I do better. During those times I think I just slowly build habits until they become second hand nature to me b
