I feel you, girl. ADHD can definitely make it tough to stay focused and motivated, especially when it comes to building better habits. But trust me, you got this! There are some super simple things you can do to upgrade yourself this year.
First off, don't be too hard on yourself. ADHD is real, and you're working through some legit challenges. Cut yourself some slack and focus on making small, sustainable changes rather than trying to overhaul your whole life at once. Baby steps are key.
One thing that's helped me a ton is creating a designated workspace or "productivity zone" - whether that's your room, a corner of the living room, or even just a certain chair you always use. Train your brain to associate that space with getting stuff done.
And speaking of your brain, try some memory tricks to boost your focus. Like, whenever you sit down to work, take a few deep breaths and visualize yourself being super engaged and productive. Positive self-talk is powerful, ya know?
Building in regular breaks is also clutch. Set a timer for 25-30 mins of focused work, then give yourself a 5-10 min breather to stretch, grab a snack, or scroll social media. That way, you stay fresh and don't burn out.
Oh, and don't forget to celebrate your wins, no matter how small! Consistency is key, so anytime you manage to cross something off your to-do list or form a new habit, take a moment to hype yourself up. You're doing the damn thing!
Most importantly, be patient and flexible with yourself. Not every day is going to be perfect, and that's okay. Just keep showing up, making progress, and believing in your ability to become the best version of you. You got this, girl! I believe in you.
Practice concentration and focus exercises, read books. Don't multitask haha, try to stay focused on one thing until it's done
Changing your daily routines can be a good start.
