How did you know which college major was right for you?

As I’m preparing to graduate from a community college with my associates degree, I’m having a lot of trouble picking a major for when I transfer my credits to a university/college. How did you know what major was right for you?

One of the things that I've learned over the years. It's what is your interest. How and what do you like to do. That's where you need to start. If you like mathematics engineering would be a great field. If you like design. Architecture or interior designers. If you're good with colors and sequences interior designs are a great opportunity. If you like to talk with people maybe a counselor. Social worker or a psychiatrist. You name it you've got the wide open field it's your choice.

For me, I was always interested in math and science, and I wanted to be an astronaut. So I majored in Aerospace Engineering.

It was always going to be healthcare because I like helping people. Now I wish it had been law instead. Less school. better income, nicer clothes and offices, no middle-of-the-night emergencies, no being on call, fewer threats.

I considered what jobs paid well and were in demand. I did not want a job that I would hate.

When I started college I took all the main credits that I would need no matter what I decided to get a degree in. That gave me time to consider my options.
