How did you decide what you wanted to study at university?

Okay my goal for this year was to enroll but I have been putting it off all this time lol

This week I finally have to do it, because of the deadline, but I just can't decide...

I would really like to study psychology, but I don't meet the requirements for the state university (I will try it next year anyway, but my chances are fucking low) and I don't have the money for the private university.
So right now I'm left with economics or business informatics... both would be great for my future and economics alone would be easy for me tho

At university I did Architecture with Structure and Construction address, so it’s an address halfway between architecture and structure engineering.
I had been oriented towards engineering, I like a lot as a child to play with Meccano and Lego and this helped me stimulate creativity and a bit of mindset towards construction. Then I grew up fascinated by great infrastructures like bridges, so I ended up deciding to do architecture because engineering was a bit too… cold. I wanted a mix of calculus and creativity.

I already knew in elementary school that I was going to study law or psychology at Uni. I loved both, so I really had to think about it when it came to making a final decision. I thought a lot about it (if it's something I really want to do in my life/do I see myself doing it, will I love my job and enjoy working in that field every day, etc). It might sound funny, but I literally sat down and wrote things I like and dislike about both courses on a piece of paper. I did the same when it came to deciding in what city I was going to study. It helped me 😅 Talking with older students who study what you plan to may help too. They can give you some insight and really good advice.

I wanted to do something in the medical field b/c many people in my family are firemen, nurses, a surgeon, but I couldn't touch people and blood. So I picked pharmacy b/c I was good at chemistry and I thought drugs were interesting too.. but I forgot math is involved! I always sucked at math! I screwed up my senior year in high school so I ended up going to a tech college. I did well, but failed the math class 3x so I just dropped out. Don't just stop if ur really determined.. go to a tech college temporarily and those credits will transfer.

At the time, i wanted to go for film but my schools didn't offer it at the nearby campus. Then i started to choose architectural drafting but i slightly lost interest in drawing plus i sucked at math and measurements. Then i started to choose journalism but they wanted us to do news reporter on camera related classes which was dumb because I just wanted to be like a radio host or something lmao. So in the end i went with what my friends chose and that was biz admin. Huge regret that i got trapped in and more math than fckin construction class

Because I will homeschool our children and maybe a couple more, I want a liberal arts education; that is, social science with math minor. Political Science & Government is one of the majors in the social sciences program at Hendrix College; a college I may attend. Other possible majors include Economics and Business, History, Politics and International Relations, and Sociology/ Anthropology.

I had math and science skills and interests do it was not difficult. Pick a career you want and work backwards to course requirements

Take the basic requirements of English, math, literature and as you move forward one of the electives you choose might catch your interests
