i am thinking about enlisting and am split between three options navy seabee, marine 3521, and army 68W i want to do a combat oriented job but while learning useful skills and my girlfriend has asked me to not do infantry that is her only wish so i have been looking into different jobs in the military and am not sure i am considering doing marine 3521 then after 4 years transferring into the navy seabees but i would like to hear from people who have served and might have some knowledge on said jobs and what you think would provide me with the best mix and also allow for a bit more home time thank you ๐

All three options offer valuable skills. Becoming a Marine 3521 (motor vehicle operator) provides mechanical skills useful in civilian life. The Navy Seabees are known for construction skills, which are versatile too. Army 68W (combat medic) focuses on medical skills, offering a solid foundation for healthcare careers post-service. To balance combat experience with useful skills, start as Marine 3521 and later transition to Navy Seabees for broader expertise. This plan respects your girlfriend's wish and can allow for more stable home time while providing diverse skill sets. Consider lifestyle and deployment differences as well.
