I know a guy who was a graphic designer for many years and he said when he was in college, it would take him 2 weeks of intense thinking to create a new brand logo but after being in his career for 7 years, he could create a high quality logo in 20 minutes.

When I was 17 years old, it would take me 4 hours to write a 5 sentence paragraph and I would get a C on my paper, but in my last year of university, I could write a 30 page essay in 2 days with no previous research on my topic, and I would get a 95% on my paper.

Absolutely, that's why it's important.. IQ is good to get the catch up and get the concepts and basics, but experience is important because learning is a continuous experience, and you start to learn quicker and more efficient ways to do things.
