How can I make myself study more?

I have straight A’s and I have had them for years so I’m doing fine in school, and I’ve never had trouble studying for tests even if it’s for hours, but lately (basically since the first semester of 9th grade) I’ve just had trouble studying for even 30 minutes and I’ve mostly ended up waiting a day before the test to study for it or even just the very same day of the test. I don’t know how I haven’t failed any of my tests, but I don’t want to risk getting used to barely studying and then having that bring me problems when I’m in 10th, 11th, and so on, especially now that I’m in a school where I can get kicked out for having a C.

This does not make sense... you have all the free time to study if you want to. Besides been jobless, school is probably the period you have the most free time as you only have what 5? hours at school then you have many hours you could study after school.

Oh I see, welp got no advice for that really. I wasn't one to ever study, like anything if you want to do it you just have to push yourself. Nothing will happen otherwise is all I can say. Hopefully someone else gives you more helpful advice lol

I'm a slacker who winged it, mostly worked. If I don't want to do something, I just simply don't do it.
So I am the opposite of knowing how to motivate myself nvm tell someone else how to.

Find ways to make the process fun. At your age I used to key into certain topics by listening to specific types of music. It helped with informational retention.

Other stuff I would memorize and play a game to make myself build photographic memory.

And lastly, with topics I hated I'd make a reward system, giving myself "stars" in my subject notebook every time I had a 10/10. At the end of the month if I had 10 "10/10" I'd go out for a treat (a movie or new top, etc.).

Tbh I know a lot of people who didn’t study at All in highschool and got straight As so I don’t think you should be too worried

if you do wanna study just read when you can give yourself a 5 min break then study some more

Try this... it worked for me.

Set up a reward system for yourself. For each assignment, test or period grade in which you get a good grade, put some money into a jar. Of course, to get those good grades, you have to study. At the end of the school year, take the money out of the jar and treat yourself to something you wouldn't otherwise do.

For the hardest tests I use caffeine, it improves concentration when studying. I used to start studying a month before each test, but that didn't work for me because I study medicine and the questions are always too tricky and the brain isn't able to store so much information for so long, so I always do a marathon of studying for 12 hours the night before each test to maximize the information my brain stores, and if that doesn't work, I copy the answers to the student sitting next to me.

She's too young for that. It causes a reverse effect sometimes for folks in her age group for neurological reasons.

Study in the same place every time. Maybe compartmentalize your studying. Go someplace away from distractions and make it your study place.
