The fastest way to meet new people when you start is to join a club such as Toastmasters, or a Bird watching club, or a Meditation Class.

If you are religious, there might be churches you can visit, or you could host a neighbourhood barbecue for all the people on your street.

There is a website called meetup. com where you can join different types of groups and meet people there. To meet high quality people who do not lie or cheat, I recommend volunteering for a charity club such as Amnesty International. I met bad people at church but I never met a bad person at a charity place.

Do not discuss your personal life with people. A lot of people will betray you if your friendship ends or if you don't bend to their whims and interests, and they will discuss your secrets with others.

If you need somebody to talk to, call a therapy hotline or message a friend in Greece. Protect your Facebook account with a 30 digit password and two factor verification. Facebook is easy for any computer science student to hack because it uses very simple and basic security features. Do not use Hotmail.
