Should I ask my boss for an employee handbook?

A couple of weeks ago I got hired at taco bell. I haven't started yet, but they gave me a bunch of tasks to do, one of them being to read the employee handbook. I marked that I read it, but I didn't at the time because it would have taken me hours, and my case manager was helping me and she had things to do so I wasn't gonna make her sit there while I read it. So I've been reading it on my own time and when i went to read more it said that the page is temporarily unavailable. I think I waited too long, and it expired so I was gonna call my boss and ask him for an employee handbook, but im kind of afraid because I was supposed to read it when I said I did. I could just say that I read it, and wanted to go over it again, because I'm forgetful. What should I do?
