I've been going through old boxes. of files at work from about August 2023.
It's an ongoing project.
It's going through old boxes of files. Going through the files and check for any original documents.
Now we are still going through the files and have to take out the staples, paperclips etc.
I also have to deliver A4 reams of paper between two levels.
With this being done I now have supraspinitus in my shoulder and can barely move my arm.
My doctor has given me a certificate for less hours of going through the files.
My boss has to:
Lift the files, not lift the boxes - which I already do
Use the trolley to put the a4 paper on it and lift reams one at a time - which I already do
Her suggestions are pointless as I already do this now.
Do you think she is ignoring what my doctor is saying?
I can't leave this job till I find another as I need the money

It seems your boss may not be fully acknowledging your doctor's recommendations. If you're already following the suggestions yet facing pain, it's crucial to have an open conversation with your boss. Explain your limitations and emphasize the medical advice given. Seek adjustments within your current role to prevent further injury. If your boss remains unresponsive, consider discussing this matter with HR for additional support. Remember, your health should be prioritized, and finding a more suitable job might be beneficial in the long run.
