I don't think they are. I sure hope not because I reckon I am fairly intelligent but lazy af and aimless on the whole. I know I am a MALE and therefore automatically intimidating to half the population but I am not especially large but that belies a strength in my athleticism and power.
Some people do. I've never been intimidated by intelligent people. I think a lot of people worry about looking stupid. But there really aren't too many things you can do to demonstrate how intelligent you are than asking questions.
Admit when you don't know something. Learn how to ask great questions. It's hard to look stupid that way.
No, I love engaging with those i feel are more intelligent than myself. I always learn something new just conversing with them and they inspire me to want to learn more.
@Nikki1989 Absolutely Definitely Not.

Sorry I misread the question.

Some people are intimidated by intelligence or knowledge. I can see it in their eyes and mannerisms. Submissive may not be the right word but it's something like that. They're afraid to speak up for fear of looking the fool. So they just stop talking and do the head nod thing.
Some are too stupid to realize they aren't very intelligent. LOL, they will jump in and humiliate themselves without ever realizing. Over and over again.
It depends how intelligent these persons are. Really stupid persons don't care about intelligence. Very intelligent persons are neither intimidated by somebody a bit more intelligent than themselves. But a person who can think well honours and yes perhaps feel intimidated by a really intelligent person.
Yes, because if they don't have knowledge about that subject, they are afraid to say anything and just listen. There are also those who don't have knowledge about a subject and talk. They really have a pitiful situation.
@Nikki1989 I am respectful of, and in admiration of those that I feel are of superior intellect, but I don't feel 'intimidated' per se. I just wish I had the inherent brain power of those that seem to project that kind of intellect.
Depends on the person. If you're close minded and insecure (a particular cult comes to mind), you'll feel intimidated. If you're open minded and want to learn, you'll welcome a conversation with such a person.
I can count on one hand the number of people I've met who were obviously more intelligent than me. Yet I get called "idiot" by mental inferiors on a very regular basis. It is exceedingly tedious.
For me, not at all.
I live near Oxford England and there are too many academics who think that they are intelligent. In all honesty, they are just know alls. Very sad people.
Sometimes, especially when they have their ego or their self worth tied into their own intelligence,
Yes some people are but some aren't at least the intelligent ones aren't
They shouldn't be. Someone once told me if you're as good everyone in your room, then you should find a new room. Always surround yourself with people who are better and smarter than you.
I certainly am not, but can't speak for others.
Some people are, but most are not.
Yes I get that feeling.
Not at all. Intelligence is sexy to me.
I don't think so.
Some are, some aren't
They're they're fastzilla
to be smarter than me is hard so no.
