Gutenberg sometimes if not always will post entire books for free online and you can just cut and paste the book into your Microsoft word or any other document reading app and read the books from there. I find some 400 page books take up a lot of memory and I would delete the book as soon as I am done reading it.
Gutenberg only uses books where there is no copyright due to the author being dead for more than 100 years, or due to the the current and modern author voluntarily giving up their copyright in the hopes of having their publications be consumed by a larger reading audience, so you are not going to find people like Jordan Peterson or Paul Coehlo on Gutenberg.
But you will find Gone with the Wind and the Little Mermaid on there.
I'm one of those rare guys who still reads books. Not the kind of books you'd be interested in, mind you.
If they have websites for movies I'm sure they must have it for books as well
You might want to explore Libby, which allows you to borrow audiobooks and ebooks from your local library for free. Another option is Librivox, which offers free public domain audiobooks read by volunteers. Both are excellent resources for finding audiobooks without additional costs. Enjoy your reading and listening!
