I worked hard to get into my university cause I had a lot of health problems the year I applied, and there was a risk I would just abandon my studies to focus on comfort and rest but I got into school and during my second attempt at a degree in my 20's, I felt like I was in heaven because I loved being in university so much.
I could not believe I was able to eat butter chicken and use computers at school, when people in Asia and Africa were starving and using chalk boards.
I have graduated and still feel very lucky, that I get to eat all 4 food groups in my diet each day, while poor people are nutritionally starved.
Also I think I am lucky I can leave the house to buy a cup of coffee any day of the week when people in Thailand and Vietnam are being sold into slavery and forced to work gruelling hours.
